Busy times ahead with uni word load creeping up on me. Apologies for the infrequencies between posts. I am getting on to it! In the space between work and uni, there have been some interesting happenings in the fashion/beauty world.

T MAGAZINE: The World (and Future) of Raf Simons.

I know I am a little late to the party with this article but it was so beautiful that one could read it 10 months from now and still find relevance in it. Raf is obviously on a whole different playing field than most creatives in the fashion world today but his experience in the industry thus far resounds familiar as other key creative directors have left their iconic posts (Hedi Slimane, Alber Elbaz, Alexander Wang and so on). Where to from here is always an interesting topic to discuss...

Here is a little video interview with Raf they included (very adorable/disarming).

FINANCIAL TIMES: Farfetch - Fashion Forward

I am fascinated by the concept of Farfetch and how it connects hundreds of boutiques around the world to this online community. It is e-commerce actually supporting the bricks and mortar stores that exist and compete with the online environment. Great article of a really positive and innovative e-commerce company. This quote below, I feel really sums up the ethos of Farfetch.

What is very interesting, if you look at the second wave of companies, and I include Farfetch in these, is that we are saving these traditions and the industries we operate in.
— José Neves (Founder and CEO of Farfetch)

Not an article but important nonetheless. I have begun to dabble away on YouTube after being a spectator for so long. It's a little bit of luxury and beauty so far but more to come hopefully.

Stay tuned!
